Our client on this amazing property - a private home - is an Italian who lives and works in Los Angeles, supplying props to horror movies and television series. She loves plush, over-the-top design and our brief was to draw from the speakeasy vibe of 1920s America with lots of ornate decor and large, statement furniture.
The heavy four poster in the master bedroom is contrasted with beautiful wallpaper sourced from the UK that depicts mythical animals inspired by wild Africa. Heavy velvet drapes held back by golden rope are offset by unique gilded candle holders with chicken feet and Spanish-style leather chairs and marble vanities and counter tops. We imported a pink ostrich feather floor lamp from Italy to complete the look!
