LEADWOOD ESTATE HOUSE
Working with a wonderful, artistic German couple on their private home on Leadwood Big Five Estate, we aimed for something completely different to their home in Germany. They wanted a more masculine look with lots of African influences.
We layered the carpets and brought in lots of plants to add life to the space. We sourced all the furniture and added fun scatter elements throughout the home. One of our favourite design features was the use of baskets on the wall to fill space and add texture. We also added some unique elements to the bedrooms, including a handmade African Kenti cloth used as a bedspread, and a carpet sourced from Morocco.
To add some personal touches, we made all the benches in the bedroom ourselves and found and framed pictures to hang on the walls. It was a wonderful project to work on, and we loved bringing our clients' vision to life.
